Toy breed dogs and cats have unique fractures and orthopedic conditions. In addition, implants systems must be modified to use in these small patients. This course will address fractures of the radius/ulna tibia and femur in toy breed dogs and cats. Participants will learn to make sounds decisions, develop a surgical plan for fracture repair and how to approach and stabilize the fracture. Implants systems appropriate for these small patients will be discussed. The course will also address hip and hip problems and patellar luxation in toy breed dogs and cats. Lastly, the course will address recommended postoperative management of these patients.
