CORA Based Leveling Osteotomy (CBLO); Basic Techniques for Veterinary Technicians – August 30 – September 1, 2021
This course details surgical planning, surgical technique, post-operative management, complications, and long-term outcome.
In this course, participants will familiarize themselves with the CBLO procedure through lecture, clinical case presentations, radiographic pre-operative planning, and by performing the procedures on saw bone models and cadavers.
This course is open to veterinary technicians to attend along with their veterinarian enrolled in the course. Included are lectures, equipment handling, and assisting in the laboratory.
This course will address fractures of the radius/ulna tibia and femur in toy breed dogs and cats. Participants will learn to make sounds decisions, develop a surgical plan for fracture repair and how to approach and stabilize the fracture.
