Laparoscopic Splenectomy - Webinar

Description: This webinar will cover equipment and techniques for laparoscopic-assisted splenectomy. Current and future techniques will be explained as well as similarities and differences between veterinary and human procedures. The speaker will also share practical tips that the viewer will be able to incorporate in their procedures.

Nicole J. Buote, DVM, DACVS-SA
Dr. Buote received her DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston and a surgical internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgery Center. Dr. Buote then completed a surgery residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Buote worked in private practice in southern California, as a staff surgeon and then the Chief of her department. She joined Cornell University in 2020 as an Associate Professor of Soft Tissue Surgery. Her research focuses on minimally invasive surgery for animals and interventional radiology techniques. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the founder of the Association of Women Veterinary Surgeons.
