Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is currently performed in dogs for the elective treatment of gall bladder mucocele. Patient selection is a key factor for the success of the procedure. Single port access has been used to perform the surgery. Videos of different cases will be used during the presentation to illustrate the technique.

Eric Monnet, DVM, PhD, FAHA, DACVS, DECVS

Dr. Monnet is a Professor at Colorado State University specializing in small animal surgery. Dr. Monnet was one of the first to describe the role of laparoscopic surgery in veterinary medicine. He has taught veterinarians laparoscopy nationally and internationally for over 20 years. He is the founder of the Veterinary Endoscopic Society and their first President.
